Manea Beach Villas

Activities on the Water

With over 1,800,000 square kilometres of ocean in the Cook Islands – you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the ultimate water-based activity.

Fishing & Diving

Diving is a popular past time in the Cooks; not only because of the stunning coral reefs and effervescent tropical marine life, but the Cook Islands are also home to the beautiful black pearls.

The clear waters give you visibility of up to 200 feet and with popular dive spots such as Swimthrough, Matavera Drop Off, Papu Canyon and many more, you will see why people want to spend their days underwater.

There are plenty of top quality dive operators in the Cook Islands and the staff at Manea Beach Villas would be more than happy to help you plan your dive trip.

For the keen fisherman, there are plenty of opportunities for world class fishing experiences in Rarotonga and Aitutaki and the locals know all the best fishing spots.

Swimming, Snorkelling & Surfing

Manea Beach Villas offers guests complimentary use of kayaks and snorkelling gear for you to explore the beautiful Muri Lagoon that sits just metres from your doorstep.

Some bays are perfect for swimming, with soft white sand for relaxing on and crystal clear waters to swim, surf and play in. For those more interested in the marine life underwater, you’ll find plenty of rocky bays to explore.

Manea Beach Villas – your Muri Beach villa accommodation – is located on the most popular swimming spot in Rarotonga – lie back on the beach and relax, or wade over to one of the four motu close by. This beach is also a favourite among wind surfers.

Explore the Lagoons

Step out the front door of your Manea Beach Villa and you will find yourself on the shore of Muri Beach Lagoon – by far the most popular of all the beaches on Rarotonga.

The lagoon, no matter where you are, is perfect for snorkelling – even for the most inexperienced. With a number of raui (marine reserves) around the lagoon – you will have no trouble finding plenty of beautiful marine life.

A little further afield is Aitutaki Lagoon – a must-see for any trip to the Cook Islands. Take full advantage of the five hour Tiki tour that covers just part of this amazing lagoon. You will be treated to a trip to various spots around Aitutaki, the chance to snorkel, swim and dive and to experience a BBQ lunch – island style!
